Aquarium

One of the best Aquariums in Europe, 20 minutes away near the Minimes Marina in La Rochelle and is a favourite for the whole family. Miss the queues by booking online and visit in the morning or late afternoon avoid the crowds. 

Ile de Ré

Great beaches and beautiful villages: visiting the Ile de Ré is a lovely family day out. It is only a 20 minute drive to the toll bridge and from there you can take your car across or hire bicycles as it is completely cyclists friendly.

Marais Poitevin

Also known as the Green Venice, the Marais Poitevin is a 20 to 30 minute drive from us. A paradise for nature lovers, you can visit this area of rivers and small canals in a boat and spend the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. 

Yakajoué

A 30 minute drive from us and a great place for children: outdoor games set in woodland with bouncy castles, slides, wooden games and more. Some games are accessible to the adults and there are plenty of places to relax. 

La Rochelle beaches & Park

There are two sandy beaches in La Rochelle: one in the Minimes next to the Marina and a smaller one near the Public Park which offers a very pleasant 2km walk, playgrounds and various children’s activities but also a small free zoological part.

Musées des Automates et Modèles Réduits

These two museums in La Rochelle are to be discovered with your family. 

They are magical and will please even the very young.

Vertigo Park

Everyone will have fun at Vertigo Park, small children from 3 years as well as bigger ones: tree climbing activities, pedal-karting, mini-golf, a maze, laser-tag and more, all this set in beautiful surroundings

Waterpark

The closest waterpark is only 15 minutes away in Périgny: Palmilud is a complex partly indoors and outdoors and it has a good variety of slides. 

Chatellaillon  & Fouras

Two lovely sea-side towns 20 and 30 minutes away with beautiful beaches, fun fair games for the children, mini-golf and markets twice a week.

Trop-cool

This is an indoor and air-conditioned leisure-centre where children up to the age of 12 can have fun safely for 2 to 3 hours while their parents take it easy around a cup of coffee. The entrance is free for adults but remember to bring socks.
